At DirecTV, Motion Design has never been thought of as an integral part of product design. Over my first few months on the job, I changed that. Today, I work as a liaison between UI and UX, keeping them both aligned and helping to broaden their thinking about how transition and motion can educate, inform, and delight the user.


With the development of our Next Generation products, I've presented motion and graphics requirements to the hardware and software team before a single chip was purchased or a single line of code written. This is the first time this has been done in AT&T or DirecTV's history and I'm proud of leading this change.
